VOCABULARIO: HÁBITOS

Hola a tod@s!!

En ésta entrada os dejo una pequeña lista de vocabulario relacionado con hábitos, espero que sea útil.

1.-BOSTEZAR
Yawn (yooun)

• I can´t stop yawning, I must be tired. (No dejo de bostezar, debo estar cansado)
• She tried to stifle a yawn. (Intentó reprimir un bostezo)
• It´s a bit of a yawn. (Es un poco aburrido)

2.-TIRARSE UN PEDO
Fart (faat) (La "r" no se pronuncia)

• To do a fart (Tirarse un pedo)
• He is an old fart (Es un viejo indeseable)
• Everyone farts (Todo el mundo se tira pedos)

Stop farting about/arround and help me cleaning (Deja de vaguear y ayúdame a limpiar) 

3.-ERUCTAR
Burp (buup) (la "r" no se pronuncia)

• Burp your baby after feedings (Haga eructar a su bebé tras las tomas)
• I want to burp (Quiero eructar)

4.-GUIÑAR EL OJO
Wink

• He winked at me (Me guió el ojo)
• The light was winking (La luz estaba parpadeando)
• I didn´t sleep a wink last night. (Anoche no pegué ojo)

5.-METERSE EL DEDO EN LA NARIZ
Picking the nose

• He is picking his nose all the time (Se mete el dedo en la nariz todo el tiempo)

• Los mocos se pueden llamar boogers, snot, o mucus.

• To blow the nose (Sonarse la nariz)

• To have a running nose (Tener mocos)

6.-SORBER MOCOS
Sniffs / Sniffles

• You were sniffing a lot, I presumed you had a cold (Tenias muchos mocos, di por hecho que tenias catarro)
• You are sniffling a lot today, have you got a cold? (Tienes muchos mocos hoy, tienes catarro?)

7.-ESTORNUDAR
Sneeze (sniis)

• Cats make me sneeze (Los gatos me hacen estornudar)
• It´s not to be sneezed at! (Es una expresión que más o menos significa: No es moco de pavo)

8.-MASCAR CHICLE
Snap your gum (Es cuando haces ruidos, o con la boca abierta)

• He snaps his gum  (Él masca chicle)

9.-ESTIRARSE
Stetch Out

• I just want to get home and stretch out on the sofa (Sólo quiero llegar a casa y estirarme en el sofá)

10.-TOSER
Cough (cof)

• The smoke made me cough (El humo me hizo toser)
• I have a dry cough (Tengo una tos seca)
• I have a hacking cough (Tengo una tos (áspera, ruidosa, que suena dolorosa)
• She started to cough up blood (Empezó a toser sangre) 
• She has a nasty smoker´s caugh (Tiene una asquerosa tos de fumadora)
