VOCABULARIO : COCHE

En ésta entrada os dejo vocabulario relacionado con el coche, espero que os sea útil.

1.-MARCHAS

• Shift Lever: Palanca de cambios
• Change gear : Cambiar de marcha
• Does your car have four or five gears? : Tiene tu coche 4 o 5 marchas?
• When you start the car you need to be in first gear (Cuando arrancas debes estar en primera)
• Accelerate and brake : Acelerar y frenar

2.-PONER GASOLINA

• Put petrol / gasoline / fuel  : Poner gasolina
• Refuel : Repostar

3.-APARCAR

• Pull over / park : Aparcar
• Paralell parking : Aparcar en paralelo
• Vallet parking (Válei parkin): servicio de algunos restaurantes.. etc que te aparcan el coche al llegar.

4.-ALQUILER DE COCHE

• air conditioning : Aire acondicionado
• child booster seat / child safety seat / toddler safity seat / infant safety seat :Sillas de los niños 
• luxury car: Coche de lujo
• car hire company : Compañía de alquiler de coches
• additional driver: Conductor adicional 
• get a quote: obtener un presupuesto

5.-TIPOS DE COCHES

• automatic car (Automático)
• ecofriendly car (Medio ambiente)
• MANUAL TRANSMISSION : De marchas (Manual)
• Sports car: Coche deportivo
• Family car : Familiar
• Full size: Grande
• Compact: Compacto

6.-PARTES BÁSICAS DEL COCHE

• Wiper / Windscreen wipers : Limpiaparabrisas
• Sidelight / parking light: luz de posición
• Tyres: Neumáticos

• Flat tyre : Neumático flojo o pinchado

• Fog lights : Antinieblas
• Grab the wheel : agarra el volante
• Beep the horn :Toca el pito
• Parking brake / Handbrake / emergency brake : freno de mano 

• Release the parking brake :Quita el freno de mano

• Put on your seatbelt : Ponte el cinturón
• Turn on the engine / Start the car : Arranca el coche
• Downshifting / Upshifting : Reducir / Aumentar las marchas
• Boot : Maletero

7.-FRASES RELACIONADAS

• Back seat driver : El que va en el coche dando instrucciones al conductor (sin que se lo pidan)
• Roundabout : Rotonda
• To pass a car: Adelantar
• Indicate with your blinkers : Indica con los intermitentes (left /right blinker light)
• Switching lanes: girar (cambiar de calle, a la derecha o a la izquierda)
• Blind spot: Punto ciego
• Highway: Autopista
• Always start the car with your foot on the brake (Siempre arranca el coche con el pie en el freno)
• Speed limit : límite de velocidad
• Hydroplaning: Aquaplaning

• When it´s hard for your tires to get good traction because of the small pools of water accumulated on asphalt.

8.-EMBRAGUE

• Gas pedal
• Throttle (zrotel)
• Clutch pedal 

• Press the clutch : Pisa el embrague

9.-MARCHA ATRÁS

• Reverse gear (Marcha atrás)
• He reversed the car into the parking space (Metió el coche en el aparcamiento de culo)
• Drive backwards (Conducir hacia atrás)
• He reversed into a lamppost and damadged the back of the car. (Dio marcha atrás y dañó la parte de atrás del coche contra una farola)
